Better Late Than Never: H.N.B. on CES

Cool Sh*t from Consumer Electronics Show 2011

CES takes place in Las Vegas at the beginning of every year, and it is THE place for manufacturers to show off all the awesome sh*t they’ve developed.  A lot of stuff will make it to market sometime this year, some stuff might make it to the market in the future, and a few things are only concepts that will never be available for purchase.

If I was a better Electronics Correspondent for TWL, I would have been at the show taking in all of this awesomeness first hand.  But TWL doesn’t have a budget, so they wouldn’t send me.  The end result is you all suffer from my second hand reviews.  I will attempt to show off a few of the things I found most interesting in a few future postings.

For now, check out this video for the nPower® PEG.  It uses the kinetic energy you generate by moving to create a charge, and then it holds that charge for you to use later on with your cell phone, iPod, mp3 player, or GPS.  If you like to go on long backpacking excursions or go hiking while camping out, this is a great green option to keep in your pack.  You can fully charge it at home via USB, then it can continue to be charged by gathering kinetic energy in your pack!

Twin's Steamy Dutch Oven

Twin's cooking column logo is in production. Enjoy this relevant comic-strip in the interim.

81 Seconds Of Black Dynamite

I love everything about this movie and felt stingy not sharing these two snippets. I can't stop uttering, "Hush up little girls!" There's another clip here that contains a delicious amount of smack talk (warning: and rampant use of the n word) before a glorious smack down.
